Mom Killed Dad

He sighed and got back to what was immediately important. A map of the facility was laid out on the GPS with his location at the base and a small dot of light that was slowly moving. He strapped it to his wrist and took off at a run through the main door and into the corridor, automatically calling, “Thank you,” over his shoulder.

As he ran through the corridors, checking the finder from time to time, his thoughts went to Risha. He loved her madly. He knew he was young — very young, in fact — to have already chosen a life-mate. It really wasn’t that unusual on Ackalon where everybody could sense the, well, the rightness, or maybe the fit, of anyone else. Not that they always found that fit. Still, when it worked, it was magnificent. His Aunt Jis hadn’t found a suitable match until the start of the Kreesh war. She must have been at least thirty by then. Even after finding each other, it was years before she and An did anything about it. He was grateful he already had Risha.
